The International Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) is getting the same Lollipop 5.1.1 treat. The update package is currently available Over-the-air (OTA) and via KIES in Hungary. This is the first update the device get since the 5.0.2 has rolled-out few months.
All other Galaxy Note 4 variants will get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update before the end of the year. We have also confirmed before that that Note 4 will officially get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by early 2016 along with wide variants of other Samsung models.
Galaxy Note 4 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update packs various bug fixes, security improvements and performance enhancements. Other regions should also get the same 5.1.1 update in the next few weeks, Galaxy Note Edge should get the same update in the upcoming few weeks.
The new Android build features performance improvements and security fixes, but there is no info if the Stagefright vulnerability was taken care of or not. If Samsung didn’t have the time to patch the Stagefright exploit, hopefully it will do so via another patch update soon.
